In Memory of the Chuwable Babies
Wednesday, March 29, 2006

Saw this while rummaging through my study table. Most likely, only Doc Chu had the chance to read this besides us, so might as well publish it for everyone (especially those mentioned):

Our heartfelt thanks to the following people who, in one way or another, have become a part of our journey in accomplishing this plant design.

First and foremost, to the Almighty Father, for giving us the wisdom, the patience, and the strength we need and for making us believe in ourselves.

To our families, who have constantly supported us in every way they can.

To Doc Chu, we might have been a handful, but hopefully we're out of your hair now. =) Thank you for your enduring guidance as we went along with this project.

To Engr. Yefey Kwan of Petrocorp, for accepting us in your office to entertain our queries.

To Engr. Evarardo "Rading" Salazar of Petrocorp, for helping us in our technical study. The project would not have been realized if not for you.

To Sir Mars Dapit, for making us understand the existence of phase diagrams that we needed for our process.

To GSG, for constantly reminding us that we need to somehow keep up with your fast-paced world - but not affecting us anyway.

To Kiko, for making us realize that sometimes, what is essential is invisible to our eyes - but visible to others.

To Oday, for all the shared info... and yes, "if only words could kill..."

To Papa Jof and Mama Chie, for sharing the same sentiments.

To Alex and Jape, for the lunchdates and lola stories and for always "keeping us posted".

To Marijho and Mister Donut, for keeping us awake.

To our beloved monsters, for giving us something to laugh about even at the toughest times, for trying our patience (but never succeed) and making us feel good about ourselves, even at our lousiest days.

To the Original Cast - Jean, Shirmae, Bim, and Cris, for making it through our "let's do something together" days and hope that someday we would pick up from where we left off...

"This is the product of three young minds who shared many sleepless nights to put together the best of what five years in theUP Department of Chemical Engineering taught them."

Blueberry and Peaches Ice
Sunday, March 19, 2006

It's a hot Sunday afternoon and I'm here in my room, in my bed with my laptop, pretending to watch TV. The best part is... I'm waiting for a call from my boss. (Just in case you didn't realize, I'm sarcastic.) Circle trial was supposed to have started 2 hours ago but as usual, delays in the production are spoiling the rest of my weekend. I should be with my mom and her friend in Glorietta right now but since I was informed earlier that we might have to last til lunch time tomorrow, I decided to pass. Oh well...

I was able to check out my
kid cousin's blog last weekend. I thought it was too for-teenagers-stuff-ish (she's just eleven years old!) but not until I saw this and this - just two of the many other links in her site, and mind you, they are all in fifth grade. I'd like to stress FIFTH GRADE!!! Is it just me getting old or is it just a little too much to be talking about being in love and double dates at this age?!?

Most pictures I see in Friendster now are taken at the beach, which keeps reminding me it's really summertime! I wonder if I'll even have time (and moolah!!!) to go somewhere out of town soon. Heard my cousin from the US is coming to visit this May though. I hope we could make serious plans and more importantly, be able to squeeze it in my shejul. =)

Neutralizer

The past week has been really rough on me. The other day, it hit me: I'm going through a quarter-life crisis. Nothing seems to go right with the current status of my career. I know life is ironic. I know, too, that at this point every decision I make will affect the rest of my life - precisely why I am so so scared to make a mistake. *sigh* I have to sort through all my baggage, set my CTQ (critical to quality), and finally deal with this once and for all.

So anyway, good thing Jax surprised me with this:

Thanks baby! =) *big big hug*

Jax on Gamecube Session Again (Tsk Tsk...)

My head's kind of spinning now... but I'm still waiting for Jax to get home. Dumdidumdidum...

Recently I've been thinking of establishing a routine (again). I noticed I'm starting to get all lazy-sluggish-groggy-couldn't-care-less-about-whatever-sh*t and that's not good. As a jumpstart, I tried to get my act together the other day to do some home-aero. Gosh, it's been a looooooong time! The feel of sweat on my back felt really good.

I miss cheerleading. =(

almay here. i'm 25 and act like it when the stars are aligned. i'm currently attached (and loving it!) to the most spoiled big boy in the world aka jax. i'm an augustinian and an iska. i'm not a party person, more of the dinner-coffee type. i miss dancing though (it's been ages!). i'm a self-confessed crybaby and drama queen. i talk a lot, often even in a language only i could understand. recently, i've turned into that boyish kid. i love cars. i like driving, sometimes alone when i want to get away and think. i have a sweet tooth. give me chocolates with almonds and blueberry cheesecake and i'm yours forever.

(someday soon) i'd like to: swim in the pacific ocean. ride a hot air balloon. be (and drive) in a real racing circuit. sing with a band. have a month-long vacation without having to think about work. see the egyptian pyramids. lie in a bed of roses, literally. climb a mountain. have my own butterfly garden. complete my bath and body collection. finish reading the Bible, cover to cover. be in the set of grey's anatomy. go on a totally unplanned road trip. learn three other languages.

"Maybe we're not supposed to be happy. Maybe gratitude has nothing to do with joy. Maybe being grateful means recognizing what you have for what it is. Appreciating small victories. Admiring the struggle it takes simply to be human. Maybe we're thankful for the familiar things we know. And maybe we're thankful for the things we'll never know. At the end of the day, the fact that we have the courage to still be standing is reason enough to celebrate."
